West Ham 1-1 Liverpool - Highlights and Goals (Video)

West Ham vs Liverpool highlights - Liverpool dropped another valuable two points after being held to a 1-1 draw against the Hammers on Monday night.

West Ham 1-1 Liverpool

‣ 0-1: Sadio Mane (22′)
‣ 1-1: Michail Antonio (28′)

Liverpool returned to Premier League action after last week's 1-1 draw with Leicester City as they looked to regain a five point lead over Manchester City.

Adam Lallana made a rare start for the Reds, with Fabinho and James Milner also returning to the starting eleven.

Lallana and Fabinho joined Naby Keita in midfield, whilst Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum were both ruled out due to injury.

Despite a streaky start, the Reds took the lead via Sadio Mane midway through the first half. However, an unconvincing performance saw the Reds fail to overturn Michail Antonio's equaliser six minutes later.

Javier Hernandez and Aaron Cresswell both came close for the home side as goalkeeper Alisson was tested after sloppy mistakes from the Reds defence.

The Reds went ahead in the 22nd minute after Lallana played in Milner, who was offside in clear view of the linesman.

However, the offside flag stayed down and Milner's low cross into the area was received by Mane, who swivelled and fired past Lukasz Fabianski.

Liverpool's lead didn't last long however as just six minutes later, Naby Keita lost track of Michail Antonio's run from a free kick. The Englishman struck inside the far post and past Alisson to level the scores.

It could have gotten worse for the Reds just ahead of the break as Felipe Anderson's free-kick made its way to Declan Rice, who headed wide of an open goal.

The Reds failed to create many clear cut chances in the second half as manager Jurgen Klopp looked at his bench to create more opportunities.

Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi both came on in the final 20 minutes, however despite Origi coming close in the closing stages, the Reds failed to net a winner.

A second consecutive 1-1 draw means Liverpool's lead at the top of the Premier League has been cut short to just three points.

Manchester City will now have the opportunity to go above them in the table if they beat Everton on Wednesday night.

Liverpool: Alisson, Milner, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Keita, Mane, Firmino, Lallana, Salah.
